MOVE OVER, Manila. Clark takes one over the metropolis with the first Philippine shop of the world’s fifth largest watch manufacturer locating at the SM City Clark.
Titan Industries Ltd., a $1.6-billion (2012) listed company is part of the Tata Group, an $83-billion global conglomerate that includes iconic luxury brands Land Rover and Jaguar.
With an annual production of 15.5 million watches, over 2,000 stores in 33 countries and a customer base of 135 million, Titan takes pride in its products being owned somewhere in the world every three seconds. No mean feat there.
Living up to its pedigree of beauty, style and function, Titan’s launch last Thursday, June 19, was graced by reigning Binibining Pilpipinas titlists Mary Jean Lastomosa (Universe), Kris Tiffany Janson (Intercontinental), Yvethe Marie Santiago (Supranational), Parul Shah (Tourism) and Mary Anne Guidotti (International).
Also doing their turn of Titan endorsements were Monster Radio RX 93.1’s DJs Gino, Chico and Delamar. With top executives of New Trends International Corp., top-notched distributing, retailing and marketing group of over 30 international fashion accessory brands, superbly handling the event.
The range of Titan watches runs the gamut from sporty and casual to dressy and formal, each crafted to a specific inspiration, as their brochure puts it: poise and elan for the Raga collection; technology driven for the HTSE – high tech self engineered – collection; less definitely more for the Edge collection; timeless elegance in the Orion collection; adrenaline rush in the Octane collection; style signature for the Purple collection; and occasions that matter for the Corporate collection.
Four Titan watches were raffled off to cap the event with this paper’s editor among the winners.
Style, beauty and function need not be expensive. Titan makes one convincing testament to this.
