Covid cases in Subic Freeport now 3

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — Another resident here tested positive of the coronavirus disease bringing to three the active cases of Covid-19 in the freeport, excluding six guests/transients.

In an official statement, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority chair and administrator Wilma T. Eisma, the 38-year-old male patient had no history of travel outside the freeport but is suspected to have been exposed to a visitor.

He was tested July 20 with the result of his RT-PCRtest released July 22 indicating he is positive for Covid-19.

While asymptomatic, the patient has been admitted to a hospital in the freeport for care and isolation.

The SBMA Public Health and Safety Department has undertaken contact tracing and advised all his close contact to undergo home quarantine for 14 days.

Eisma is reminding everybody in the freeport to strictly observe health protocols and practice health safety measures both in workplaces and at home.
