CALM BEFORE THE STORM? In serious talk before the Ford Pampanga groundbreaking rites are prospective 2013 gubernatorial rivals three-term Mayor Rodriguez and incumbent Governor Pineda.

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Gov. Lilia G. Pineda and Mayor Oscar S. Rodriguez led the groundbreaking rites Wednesday for a new Ford Pampanga dealership facility along Jose Abad Santos Avenue here.

A part of the Laus Group of Companies, the largest multi-brand car dealership network in the country, Ford Pampanga is the first in the Philippines to comply with Ford Motor Company’s new corporate identity standards with its state-of-the-art two-storey building.

Levy P. Laus, chair and CEO of the Laus Group, said the upcoming world-class Ford Pampanga facility shall house a showroom and service center that “takes class and convenience further to give only the best to its customers.”

In a brief program after the groundbreaking, Governor Pineda congratulated Laus for “yet another contribution in the economic development of the province.”

For his part, Mayor Rodriguez hailed the event as one more affirmation to the City of San Fernando as “Most Business-Friendly City” that was awarded it by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as a testament to the working  public-private partnership  in the city.

Joining Pineda, Rodriguez and Laus during the groundbreaking rites were Vinay Piparsania, Ford Phil. marketing and sales vice president; Tess A. Laus, LGC Group director, and Lisset A. Laus-Velasco, LGC deputy COO.
