Criminology student, 2 others nabbed selling shabu

OLONGAPO CITY — A criminology student and two others were nabbed in the act of selling shabu by operatives of Police Station 4 of the Olongapo City Police Office in Barangay Old Cabalan here

PS4 commander Capt. Walter Primero, in his report to OCPO director Col. Benjamin Sembrano, Jr., identified the suspects as Jason Mallari y Benedito, 22, a criminology student, and his cohorts Fredireck Awa-Ao y Sabado, 37, jeepney driver, and Jonathan Cacha y Quidilig, 30, all residents of Barangay Old Cabalan.


The suspects were arrested selling a transparent plastic sachet of shabu worth P200 to an undercover police agent.

Recovered from them were seven transparent plastic sachets of shabu, the marked money, and a blue Toyota Corolla Lovelife sedan with plate number CPC-857 which was utilized by suspects in their illegal drug trade.

The suspects are now detained at Police Station 4 facing charges for violation of Section 5 and 11 of RA 9165 and violation of City Ordinance No. 6, Series of 2020 (for not wearing face mask and no social distancing).
