OLONGAPO CITY – This city is now zero in confirmed Covid-19 cases.
So hailed Mayor Rolen Paulino, Jr. late Saturday reporting that all 12 positive cases in the city have recovered.
This, even as he reiterated his appeal to his constituents to strictly follow community quarantine protocols, noting that Olongapo City still has 59 suspected Covid-19 cases to date, while 56 are waiting for the results of their testing.
In Iba, Zambales, Gov. Hermogenes Ebdane, Jr., also announced that the province has zero cases positive of the coronavirus disease.
In an online message, Ebdane said 20 of the 21 confirmed cases in Zambales have recovered, even as he lamented one recorded death.
Ebdane also appealed for strict observance of quarantine procedures in his province.
This, as he cited 204 suspect cases and 60 pending results to date.
Botolan tops the list of suspect cases with 18, while Candelaria and Sta. Cruz have 16 suspect cases each, and Subic with 12.
