LIMAY, Bataan — Police on Sunday announced the arrest of three suspected notorious drug pushers and the confiscation of illegal drugs in two separate buy-bust operations in this town.
The anti-drug operations were conducted late afternoon and near midnight of Friday both in Barangay Reformista where 23 small sachets containing suspected shabu were seized, Major Emelito M. Dela Cruz, Limay police chief, said.
Nabbed were Ronnie Hirang, 54, of Barrio Luz, Limay and Joseph Tadeo, 47, of Lubao, Pampanga, in the operations at 5:30 p.m. of Sunday in an abandoned house in Reformista.
The two were arrested after handing to a police poseur-buyer a small plastic sachet of shabu in exchange for P1,000. Follow-up search yielded five more sachets found in the possession of suspects.
The police chief said Hirang and Tadeo were using the abandoned house in their drug-pushing activities.
Apprehended in the buy-bust operation conducted along the Roman Highway in Reformista on Friday near midnight was Jick Albiso, 26, resident of the same barangay.
“The arrest was made after a police poseur-buyer bought a small size plastic sachet containing suspected shabu from Albiso for P1,000 and 16 other sachetswere confiscated from his possession,” Dela Cruz said.
The three suspects were all in the drugs watch list, the police chief said.
Operatives from the provincial police Drug Enforcement Unit, police Intelligence branch, 2nd Police Mobile Force Company and Limay Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency conducted both operations.
Cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act were being readied against the suspects.
Dela Cruz said that although they are focused in the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine, they saw to it that illegal drug violators are not left free.
“Babala sa mga ayaw pang tumigil sa pagtutulak o paggamit ng ipinagbabawal na droga sa bayan ng Limay. May kalalagyan kayo dahil hindi namin kayo tatantanan. Kayo ang sumisira sa kabataan at sa buhay ng mga tao. Dalawa lang ang pupuntahan ninyo – kulungan o mapatay kayo kapag kayo ay lumaban,” Dela Cruz warned.
