BALANGA CITY — The Provincial Health Office on Saturday reported that the newest case of confirmed Covid-19 case in Bataan is a baby boy less than half-month old, the youngest so far hit by the virus in the province.
Gov. Albert Garcia said with the addition of the baby and two others, as per 12 noon of Saturday, the number of confirmed Covid cases jumped from 77 Friday night to 80.
The governor said the new patients found positive of Covid–19 were the baby boy only 14 days old from Orani, a 36-year–old woman from Limay, and a 59-year–old man from Balanga City.
Earlier, a month-old baby boy from Mariveles was also hit by the deadly virus but survived and recently released from hospital confinement with 14 others who are all undergoing 14 days of post-discharge quarantine.
The number of deaths from Covid–19 in Bataan remained at four.
