IBA, Zambales – In line with the vision of House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano to boost development of microenterprises, “Presyo Trabaho Kita/ Kaayusan” (PTK) has added another tricycle operators and drivers association (TODA) to its growing list of beneficiaries in the country.
The Iba TODA Federation is the second PTK beneficiary in the province of Zambales, with the Olongapo Subic Castillejos San Marcelino (OSCSM) Transport Service Multipurpose Cooperative as the first.
Cayetano met with the Iba TODA Federation officers led by their president Ulysses Acera to explain the objectives and mechanics of the PTK program.
Cayetano, who is a staunch advocate of micro, small, and medium scale enterprise (MSME) program, initiated the PTK program in 2013 in an effort to address Filipinos’ pressing problems, including the lack of access to capital to start and sustain their businesses.
Iba TODA Federation is now the 224th beneficiary organization of PTK in the country.
During the turnover ceremony, TODA president Acera said that the federation will use the P100,000 grant from the PTK program to set up a disability and health insurance program for the 10 TODA groups which composed the federation.
Acera thanked Speaker Cayetano for trusting their TODA cooperative with his availment of the grant.
