CLARK FREEPORT – “The Fiesta Mimosa is getting bigger and it has three new activities to make it even better.”
Thus said organizers of the Fiesta Mimosa 5 during the press conference at the Hilltop restaurant of the Mimosa Leisure Estate (MLE) here on Friday.
Led by MLE Manager Danny Licardo, the organizers announced the new activities – ‘Tunog Fiesta,’ Little Miss Mimosa and Dog-A-Palooza.
A Mass followed by a motorcade will start the five-day Fiesta Mimosa on September 22.
‘Tunog Fiesta,’ a drum and lyre competition, and a cultural dance fest will happen on September 23.
The Chefs on Parade and Mimosa Dance Craze will roll over the estate on September 24.
The other two new events – Dog-A-Palooza and Little Miss Mimosa – and the Mimosa Pop Idol will be held on September 25.
Capping the activities on September 26 are Sayaw at Galaw, Birit Bulilit and Binibining Mimosa 2009.
At least 11 candidates will compete in the Binibining Mimosa.
A few other activities honoring sponsors and concessionaires will be done in between the major events of the five-day ‘fiesta.’
