ANNE CURTIS confirms comedy movie with Vice Ganda for Metro Manila Film Festival 2019.
According to Anne, despite her excitment about the film, she feels nervous because comedy is not her genre.
“Actually, happy kami ni Vice kasi he just announced we’ll be doing a Metro Manila Film Festival entry.
“Kinakabahan nga ako kasi if you look at the films I did last year, I did a lot of serious films, so it’s gonna be a different genre for me.
“Comedy ito, so kinakabahan ako.
“But we all know naman that I will be safe in the hands of Vice.
“Kinakabahan pero let’s see, I’m excited.
“Alam naman niya na kinakabahan ako.
“Ang sabi niya sa akin relax lang daw.”
Anne mentions that their ream up is just in time for the 10th year anniversary celebration of their noontime show It’s showtime.
She also said that it was Vice who told her about the project.
“Alam niyo, perfect timing nga kasi it’s the 10th anniversary of Showtime, so it’s a great way to celebrate friendship.
“Siya ang nagsabi sa akin, actually kinausap niya muna si Boss Vic saka niya sinabi sa akin.”
All of Vice’s MMFF entry were considered box office hits which gives him the title of Phenomenal Box office Star.
Is Anne pressured about this?
“People always ask me this whenever I do a film.
“Parang, ‘Are you nervous about boxoffice success?’
“I think more than anything, especially now that the film industry is super moving now, what’s more important is that you’re making films, you’re able to bring happiness to the people watching your film.
“Having a box-office hit is just a cherry on the top,”
Anne meaningfully quipped.

BARON GEISLER wants to save up money for his girlfriend-turned-fiance Jamie Marie Evangelista.
Baron said about this ABS-CBN show top-billed by Coco Martin, “Laking pasalamat ko kay Coco na binigyan niya ako ng chance sa Probinsyano. Ito yung chance ko to earn money and to support my wife-to-be.”
Baron is cast as Dante in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Dante is a villain who wants to exact revenge on Coco’s character.
According to Baron, Coco had one request for him before he was allowed to join Ang Probinsyano.
“Ang sabi ni Coco, ‘Bro, tutulungan kita, pero tulungan mo rin ang sarili mo. Ang hinihingi ko lang sa ‘yo, makisama ka lang, maging professional ka lang. Maraming shows ang ABS-CBN, hindi ka mawawala.’”
Baron sold his Fortuner vehicle in the past and the proceeds were used to partly finance his barbershop business in Cebu.
“Ang bait ng ABS-CBN kasi sinusundo at hinahatid nila ako kapag may taping. Hindi na ako nagko-commute.
“Pakiramdam ko, I’m starting from humble beginnings, from scratch talaga, parang back to basic.
“Naranasan ko noon na maghahagilap ng pera para kumakain. Coming from a well-to-do family, naranasan kong maghirap,” admitted Baron.
Will ABS-CBN management no longer have problems regarding his alcoholism in the future?
“Ayokong mangako, I’m enjoying my job. I feel comfortable under my skin, na-forgive ko na ang sarili ko, wala akong problema kahit kanino.
“Ang hirap pag nangangako, nauunsiyami. Dapat gawin na lang. So far, wala namang negative. Every day, may meditation ako. Sickness na kasi yung pagiging alcoholic ko, e.”
