CLARK FREEPORT — The US embassy said here yesterday that US Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) as well as Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Immigration (BI) personnel arrested last Saturday in Angeles City an American fugitive wanted for child pornography.
“The successful operation was a result of close cooperation between Philippine and U.S. law enforcement authorities,” the US embassy said in a statement.
It identified the fugitive as Joel Aquino Pasay which it identified as a “United States citizen.”
“The arrest followed a nearly two-year search for Pasay, who is a U.S. fugitive. On May 2, 2017, Pasay was indicted in the United States District Court, District of Nevada, for violation of Title 18 U.S. Code 2252A(a)(2), Receipt of Child Pornography,” the embassy also said.
