CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – A total of 674 applications, more than half of which came from Pampanga, were processed last year at the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) window at the Department of Trade and Industry -3 (DTI-3).
Of the total, 398 were contractors from Pampanga while there were 96 from Nueva Ecija and 72 from Bataan.
There were also 66 PCAB applicants from Tarlac, 30 from Bulacan, 10 from Zambales and two contractor applicants from Aurora,” DTI regional director Judith Angeles said in a statement released by the Philippine Information Agency Region 3 (PIA-3) on Thursday.
“Of the 674 applications processed, 484 are regular license applications, 146 are applications for Accreditation for Registration of Classifi cation of Contractors in Government Infrastructure Projects (ARCC), 36 are for Special License applications, and eight applicants applied for Amendments,” Angeles added.
In 2016, a total of 445 PCAB licenses and accreditations were processed at the DTI’s PCAB window.
Majority of these or 319 were regular PCAB license applications, 115 were ARCC applications, five were special license and six were application for amendments.
The PCAB Window opened in 2013 to facilitate the transactions of contractors applying for licenses and accreditations as required by Republic Act 4566 otherwise known as the Contractors License Law.
