ANGELES CITY – A multibillion pesos commercial center will soon rise on a 40-hectare lot at the back of the city hall here in Barangay Pulung Maragul all the way to adjacent Barangay Dau in Mabalacat City.

In a statement released over-the-weekend, AC Beautiful Island Realty Development Corp. (ACBI) said it hopes to transform the property into a mixeduse project that could become the next central business district (CBD) in Central Luzon.

Project director Alexander James E. Jazmines announced that the groundbreaking ceremony will be held at noon on February 8 to signal the start of the multi-billion peso project called “The Infinity.”

Jazmines said the master planner for The Infinity project is renowned urban planner and developer Felino “Jun” Palafox, Jr. of Palafox Associates while the principal architect is the Lichauco, Guilas, Villanueva LG+V Architects and Planners. The landscape architect is BCL Asia Landscape Architects.

Jazmines explained that the project got its name from the number 8 which is the shape of the property when viewed from above. He also said that the project is not meant to rival the nearby Marquee Mall but to complement it.

Jazmines, who was the project director of the Clark Manor Residential Estate in nearby Barangay Duquit, Mabalacat, said to make sure that The Infinity experience will be enjoyed by the public soon, ACBI will first develop “The Promenade,” a high-end destination that will give a unique retail and dining experience to the public.

The Infinity will house office buildings, specialty malls, new retail concepts, a one-of-a-kind dining complex, a convention center, a sports complex, an international school, serviced apartments, events pavilion, and residential condos.

A road will also be constructed linking Gueco Avenue here, where The Infinity is located, to Barangay Dau.
