LABIS NA ikinatuwa ni Janine Guttierrez ang pagtulong ni Donna Cruz sa promotion ng Villa Quintana.
She’s reprising Donna’s role as Lynette in GMA7’s remake of the hit ’90s soap “Villa Quintana” so she was just excited to see Donna in person.
“I was a big fan of her then kasi siyang ka-love team ni Tito Ian de Leon ko that time,” sabi pa niya. “As a child, I saw all their movies at kinakanta ko pa ang hit songs niya noon like ‘Kapag Tumibok ang Puso’, ‘Rain’, ‘Habang May Buhay’ and ‘Isang Tanong Isang Sagot’.
Natulala ako initially when I saw her sa studio kasi hindi ako makapaniwalang makakasama namin ang idol ko sa show. When she learned I will play Lynette sa remake ng dating show niya, she said na galingan ko raw ang acting ko as it’s one of her favorite roles in her career.”
She was fl attered when some folks told her they actually look alike and she got even the way Donna smiles sweetly. “Nakakatuwa naman kasi gandang-ganda ako sa kanya, so that only means kasing-ganda pala ako ng idol ko. Magiging challenge ‘yun for me para paghusayan ko talaga ang performance ko as Lynette para hindi naman ako mapahiya doon sa original na gumanap dito.”
She says her whole family are so happy for her, from her lolas Pilita Corrales and Nora Aunor to her parents Lotlot de Leon and Ramon Christopher. “They’re all rooting for me and thankful sa binigay na break sa’kin ng GMA7 para makapagbida na ako.
They’re also all praying hard for the show to be a big success at para suportahan ng viewers ang love team namin ni Elmo Magalona.” “Villa Quintana” starts its telecast this afternoon at 3 p.m. on GMA’s Afternoon Prime, right after “Eat Bulaga.”
