ORANI, Bataan — Police on Thursday announced the arrest of a village official here for alleged illegal possession of drugs and firearm during the implementation of a search warrant Wednesday afternoon.
Senior Supt. Benjamin Silo, Jr., Bataan police director, said Arceo Platero, 47, barangay captain of Pantalan Bago was apprehended in his house.
Silo said suspect is in the police high value target list.
During the search, a police team reportedly recovered five small size transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu in a brown wallet and a .38 revolver in suspect’s residence.
Executive Judge Marion Poblete of Branch 3 of the Regional Trial Court in Balanga City issued the search warrant.
Silo said police are readying cases for violations of Section 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and RA 10591 against the village official.
