BALANGA CITY (PIA) — The Provincial Government of Bataan continues to strengthen grassroots healthcare delivery through its Mobile Primary Care Facility or Bagong Pilipinas Coaster, bringing essential medical services closer to underserved communities in the province.
The mobile health initiative recently provided services to residents of Barangay Sibul in the municipality of Orani and Barangay Bangkal in Abucay.
Led by Governor Jose Enrique Garcia III and managed by the Provincial Health Office, the program supports the provincial government’s goal of building healthy and resilient Bataeño families by ensuring that healthcare services remain accessible, especially in far-flung areas.

Provincial Health Officer and Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Rosanna Buccahan said the mobile facility provides free laboratory services such as blood chemistry and urinalysis to residents who experience difficulty traveling to primary care facilities, particularly those belonging to high-risk populations.
She added that the initiative allows residents to monitor their health conditions early and address medical concerns before these develop into more serious illnesses, complications, or hospitalization.
The initiative aligns with the national government’s thrust under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to strengthen primary healthcare systems and improve access to essential health services under the Bagong Pilipinas governance agenda.
Through the mobile facility, the provincial government also reinforces preventive healthcare by bringing basic diagnostic services directly to communities, helping ensure early detection and timely medical intervention for residents in geographically challenged and underserved areas.
