ANGELES CITY – Two sex crime suspects, two suspected drug pushers, and one facing estafa charges were arrested in a series of overnight operations by the Angeles City Police Office over the weekend, reported city police director Col. Joselito E. Villarosa Jr.
On April 27 at about 6 p.m., operatives of Police Station 5, in coordination with the city police tracker and intelligence teams, Police Regional Office 3 cyber patrol and intelligence teams, and the Laganes (Iloilo) Municipal Police Station, successfully served a warrant of arrest against alias Joebelle issued by Presiding Judge Edwin Cruz Siapco of RTC Branch 59, Angeles City, dated Nov. 26, 2024, for sexual assault under Article 266-A(2) of the Revised Penal Code, in relation to Section 5(b) of RA 7610 (Special Protection Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) with recommended bail of P200,000.
Joebelle, now under police custody at Laganes MPS, is also the subject of another warrant for lascivious conduct under Section 5(b) of RA 7610, as amended by RA 11648 (An Act Promoting for Stronger Protection Against Rape and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) issued by Presiding Judge April Joy B. Magsayo-Aguila of RTC Branch 61, Angeles City, dated Nov. 28, 2024, with recommended bail of P200,000.
At about 6:35 p.m. of April 27, operatives of Police Station 2 arrested alias Bugoy, a newly identified street-level individual and resident of Barangay Amsic, in a buy-bust operation along Arayat Blvd. in Barangay Pampang. The suspect sold one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to a poseur buyer for P1,000. Confiscated were the marked money and shabu weighing three grams worth P20,400.
Later, at about 11:58 p.m. operatives of Police Station 4 the arrested alias YG, a resident of Barangay Pandacaqui, Mexico, in another buy-bust under Hensonville Bridge, Sitio Cuayan, Barangay Malabanias, confiscating seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing grams and priced at P20,400.
At about 1 a.m. of April 28, operatives of Police Station 2, in coordination with RIU3-CIT Angeles, CIDMU-ACPO Tracker Team, and CIU-ACPO, served a warrant of arrest against alias Ronald, a resident of Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City, issued by Presiding Judge Katrina Nora S. Buan-Fatora of MTCC Branch 2, Angeles City, for Violation of BP Blg. 22 (Bouncing Checks Law) docketed under Criminal Case No. 10-5239, with recommended bail of P2,000.
Twenty minutes later, joint operatives of ACPO, and Police Station 4 arrested alias Cocoy at his residence in Barangay Malabanias virtue of a warrant issued by Presiding Judge Abigail Santos Domingo-Laylo of Family Court Branch 4, Malabon City, dated Sept. 10, 2024, for statutory rape (no bail recommended) under Criminal Case No. 24-628-MAL, and lascivious conduct under Section 5(b) of RA 7610 under Criminal Case No. 24-629-MAL, with recommended bail of P200,000.
All arrested suspects are now under police custody and will be subjected to appropriate legal proceedings, Villarosa said. Punto News Team/ACPO
