CLARK FREEPORT — A new outdoor destination is now open at Clark as the Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) launched the Clark Picnic Grounds, one of its seven flagship projects under the Clark Aviation Capital vision.
The first phase covers five hectares of the nine-hectare development, introducing a modern park designed for everyday recreation. Visitors can enjoy jogging and walking paths, picnic areas, a playground, and an amphitheater suited for small gatherings and events.
Set beneath rows of mature acacia trees, the grounds highlight a key feature of the project: the preservation of its natural landscape. The expansive canopy provides shade and a relaxed atmosphere for outdoor activities.
“We preserved the natural landscapes, perfect for recreational activities. This will be one of the biggest and most exciting developments here at Clark Aviation Capital,” said Oji Sanchez, head of the CIAC Public Affairs Department.
The Clark Picnic Grounds forms part of CIAC’s Urban Renewal and Heritage Conservation Program, aimed at transforming the area into a dynamic hub for both business and community life.
Further developments are expected in the next phases, including the addition of sports facilities to expand its recreational offerings.
