As Pampanga observes the solemn season of Lent, many Kapampangans once again take part in long-standing Catholic traditions such as fasting, abstinence, Visita Iglesia, pabasa, and Holy Week processions. The province, known for its predominantly Catholic population, sees families choosing meals that reflect both faith and tradition during this sacred period.

At Din Tai Fung in SM City Clark, diners can find options suitable for Lenten observance alongside limited seasonal offerings.

For those abstaining from meat, the Shrimp Chop Fried Rice offers a satisfying alternative. The dish features a golden cutlet of freshly minced shrimp served over aromatic fried rice, combining comfort and flavor in a meat-free option available for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery.

While Lent calls for simplicity for many Catholic families, Din Tai Fung also marked the 2026 Lunar New Year with a limited Golden Prosperity Menu. The special selection includes Salted Egg Yolk Lobster Tail, Salted Egg Yolk Pork Ribs, and Salted Egg Yolk Tofu, available for a limited time across branches, with the lobster tail offered exclusively for dine-in.

The special offerings are available not only in Clark but across Din Tai Fung branches nationwide including Din Tai Fung SM City Cebu; Din Tai Fung Alabang Town Center; Din Tai Fung SM Megamall; Din Tai Fung BGC; Din Tai Fung Rockwell; Din Tai Fung Greenbelt; Din Tai Fung SM Mall of Asia; Din Tai Fung SM North EDSA; and Din Tai Fung Uptown BGC.

As Pampanga balances celebration and reflection this season, Din Tai Fung provides diners with choices that honor both festive gatherings and solemn Lenten practices.

Din Tai Fung SM City Clark is located at the Ground Floor, West Wing of SM City Clark and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Other branch hours vary by location.
