BAGAC, Bataan- The local government unit has prepared exhaustively three days before Glenda expecting for the worst, which minimized the storm’s damage here, one of two towns in Bataan adjacent to the West Philippines Sea, municipal Mayor Ramil del Rosario said Friday.

“Ini-expect namin super lakas na bagyo kaya tatlong araw bago ito dumating nakahanda na kami dahil naging aral sa amin ang nakaraang mga bagyo sa ating bansa,” the Bagac chief executive said.

He said that municipal and barangay officials and concerned citizens were ready even during the height of the storm cutting felled trees that blocked the roads in preparation for any emergency.

“Nakakadurog ng puso ang nangyari sa Visayas dahil kay Yolanda. Ayokong mangyari sa bayan ko ang ganoon.

Kaya lahat kaming mga opisyales kasama ang mga concerned citizens dala ang kumpletong gamit ay naging handa at maagap,” Del Rosario said. He said that only four galvanized iron sheet-roofs of one residential house were destroyed and a small portion of the Medicare Hospital affected by a fallen tree. “Mangilan- ngilan lamang ang na-apektuhan," he said.

Bagac had no electric power for two days. “Hindi baleng walang kuryente, hindi baleng walang tubig. Ang importante, walang nasaktan sa aking kababayan,” the mayor said laughing.
