BALANGA CITY- Devotees to the “miraculous” Nuestra Senora Virgen del Rosario held on Thursday morning a motorcade and procession from Orani, Bataan to the St. Joseph Cathedral in Balanga City.

Members of the Knights of Columbus in motorcycles led the pilgrimage followed by hundreds of devotees, some of them dancing to the accompaniment of a brass band.

Rev. Fr. Perry Medina, parish priest of the St. Joseph Cathedral, headed the procession from Barangay Tuyo, a barangay of Balanga some three kilometers to the cathedral. Bishop Socrates Villegas is abroad.

Manuel Tallorin, eucharistic minister, said the image will stay for five days at the Balanga City cathedral after which it will be transferred for four days to Hermosa and then to  other towns in the province.

The image of the virgin was enthroned at the altar as devotees filled the huge St. Joseph Cathedral where a Mass was held. Life-sized images of 15 saints adorned the frontage of the cathedral facing the Balanga City plaza.
