ANGELES CITY — Teresa Waterworks, Inc. (TWI) proudly celebrated its 40th anniversary on July 8, 2025, marking a milestone of providing reliable water service to communities across Central Luzon.
A legacy built on service
Founded in 1985 and named in honor of Teresa G. Nepomuceno, who passed away 15 years prior, TWI was born out of necessity and vision: to serve the water needs of the Nepomuceno family’s real estate developments, starting with the high-end Villa Teresa Subdivision, commercial complex Nepo Mart, and what is now known as the Angeles Ice Plant.
Under the leadership of its founding president, Engr. Peter G. Nepomuceno, then also president and general manager of sister company Angeles Electric Corp., Teresa Waterworks began with just 50 residential clients. But as the subdivision flourished and word of the company’s service excellence spread, nearby communities requested connections.
What started as a utility supporting internal development quickly expanded into a broader mission.
“Our water sustains life — without water, there is no life,” said Engr. Nepomuceno during the company’s 40th anniversary celebration, reflecting on the company’s founding purpose and lasting community impact.
Current reach and operations
Today, Teresa Waterworks proudly operates in 27 service areas, covering key locations across Angeles City, Bacolor, and the City of San Fernando. Every challenge over the past four decades has only strengthened the company’s resolve. Every milestone has fueled its passion to go further.
Teresa Waterworks has built its reputation not only on dependable service, but on its unwavering commitment to innovation, resilience, and community impact.
Vision, leadership, and the Nepo Group
Now under the stewardship of Maria Rita Josefina Valdes-Chua, the company remains focused on sustainable, inclusive growth. Being part of the Nepo Group has provided strategic direction and operational support, helping Teresa Waterworks innovate and scale responsibly.
“When Valdes-Chua took the helm of Teresa Waterworks, I had only one simple directive: expand, expand, expand,” Engr. Nepomuceno shared. “She did a marvelous job in growing Teresa Waterworks to what it is today.”
For her part, Valdes-Chua said: “I am excited for the future of TWI, especially with our new crop of young people who are energetic, imaginative, and full of ideas,” Addressing them: “The future is yours, so use this time to learn as much as you can from the mentors you have now.”
The Road to Pangasinan: Nepo Water
As it marks its 40th year, the company reflects on a legacy that is still unfolding. With eyes set firmly on the future, including its upcoming expansion to Pangasinan through Nepo Water, Teresa Waterworks stands ready to write its next chapter.
“Through our subsidiary, Nepo Water, we’ve been granted a 35-year concession to provide infrastructure and water services to 82 barangays in Mangatarem, Pangasinan,” Valdes-Chua announced. “It’s an exciting step forward, one that allows us to serve even more communities and expand beyond our comfort zone.”
This move represents both a continuation of its founding vision and a bold step into the future, bringing the same standards of excellence to new communities and reinforcing its commitment to long-term service.
Because for Teresa Waterworks, the journey isn’t ending, it’s just beginning.
