CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs)across Central Luzon received on July 4 close to 2,600 land titles and certificates of condonation in the continuing effort of the Department of Agrarian Reform to speedily implement RA 11953 (Condonation Law) by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
The certificates of condonation and land titles were awarded to some 2,100 ARBs involving over 2,600 hectares of lands covered by the agrarian reform program of the government.
In his speech at the awarding ceremonies, DAR Central Luzon OIC regional director Atty. Eric Francis Luna disclosed that over P63 million have now been written off covering principal debts, interests and surcharges.
Luna also urged ARB-recipients to maximize the condoned amount in ensuring productivity of the awarded lands.
The distribution of certificates of land ownership award, electronic land titles under Project SPLIT (Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling), and certificates of condonation is a continuing program of the department particularly in Central Luzon, Luna added.
He also expressed gratitude for the full and unwavering support and cooperation of DAR Central Luzon’s field offices, line agencies and local government units in ensuring a better life for the region’s ARBs. DAR-PR
