CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — A police-listed high-value individual yielded some P1.2 million worth of suspected shabu when arrested in a buy-bust operation on April 28 in Barangay San Isidro, Sta. Rita, Pampanga.

The suspect, a 40-year-old married construction worker from Purok 3, Barangay Colin, Bagong Hermosa, Bataan, was apprehended by joint operatives of the Pampanga Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Sta. Rita Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3.

Authorities seized approximately 179 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P1,217,200. Also confiscated during the operation were a red-black SYM 100 motorcycle with plate number BA 98928 and a black Realme cellphone believed to be used in illegal drug transactions.

The suspect is now under police custody and is facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Commending the operating units, Pampanga police director Col. Jay C. Dimaandal said: “This accomplishment is a clear reflection of our relentless and coordinated efforts to rid our province of the scourge of illegal drugs. We will not tire; we will not stop. We will continue to hunt down and arrest those who choose to destroy lives and communities through their illegal activities.” PPPO-PR
