BALANGA CITY — The Bataan Police Provincial Office reported the arrest of a student and the confiscation of shabu worth P1.7 million in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bagong here Sunday.
Bataan OIC police director Col. Maritess Salvadora said that operatives of the Balanga City Police Station in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency conducted the operation.
Seized from the 28-year-old student newly identified as a high-value individual were approximately 250 grams of shabu.
The suspect is currently in the custody of Balanga CPS and will be charged for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
“This accomplishment highlights our relentless efforts to curb the illegal drug activities in Bataan. We are resilient in our mission to eliminate drug-related activities and ensure a safer, drug-free province for our citizens,” Salvadora said.
