CHEONAN, South Korea — The Clark Development Corp. reinforced its partnership with SFA Semicon Co., Ltd. during a recent visit to the company’s headquarters in Cheonan.

SFA Semicon is the parent firm of SFA Semicon Philippines (SSP), one of Clark Freeport Zone’s top-performing locators and exporters.

Led by CDC president and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, the delegation met with key SFA executives including Ju Ho Park, Strategic Planning Group head; Duk Ju Na, corporate vice president and chief technology officer; Dong-keun Suh, vice president for worldwide sales; and Byunggil Go, executive director.

Discussions centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation, sustaining current operations, and supporting SFA’s future investment and expansion plans in Clark. CDC acknowledged the strategic importance of SSP, which contributes approximately 75% of the Freeport’s total export value.

Devanadera reaffirmed Clark’s commitment to enabling high-value industries, such as semiconductors, through favorable business conditions and policies under the CREATE MORE law, which streamlines tax incentives and enhances investor confidence. She also highlighted Clark’s preferential tariff rates when exporting to the United States, which makes the Freeport even more attractive for manufacturing and technology-based industries like semiconductors.

Meanwhile, SFA executives expressed appreciation for CDC’s continued support and swift interventions, particularly in resolving challenges related to export clearance and regulatory processes. These efforts, they noted, reflect the state-owned firm’s proactive and investor-focused approach to public-private collaboration. CDC-PR
