CABANATUAN CITY – A telecommunication giant has affirmed the economic viability of Cabanatuan as a business hub of Nueva Ecija even as it launched a business event called Negostar Fair last week.
Manny Aligada, a company executive, said that Globe, a telecommunications service provider, would also want to be part of boosting the business spirit in the city by showcasing Globe products and services “designed for small and medium enterprisers.”
Kenny Bansale, president of the Nueva Ecija Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NECCI) led fellow businessmen in looking for latest communication tools that are expected to give them the advantage in their respective industries.
Members and officers of the newly organized Nueva Ecija Association of Tourism Stakeholders (NEAT) led by their president Joel Cocueco also joined the fair in a bid to further the group’s aim of uplifting local tourism industry.
Nueva Ecija, though known as the rice granary of Central Luzon, has been reputed to be home of intense political rivalries.
But local entrepreneurs have been trying to reshape such image by venturing into several activities that promote the province’s economic viability.
“That’s true. Cabanatuan has a lot of potentials,” Aligada said saying the Negostar Fair here is a jumpstart of the company’s North Luzon activity. He said it was ratified by the volume of people who participated in the affair.
In the same activity, Globe Business Corporate and SME segment introduced a number of the so-called pang-negosyo products and services that include BizMax prepaid SIM, designed with specific tools and features for businessmen; Biz Online, which helps businessmen to create their own website in five easy steps; and Business + , a mobile subscription with unlimited talk and texting features, Aligada said.
“Sa negosyo, maski maliit ka man, kailangan mong magpasikat. Sa panahon ngayon kung saan mahigpit ang competition, ‘di puwede ang pwede na,” stressed Aligada who heads the Globe Business Corporate, Small and Medium Enterprise.
