CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The very start of March proved productive for the Central Luzon police with six high-value drug suspects arrested and P2.2-million worth shabu seized in a 24-hour series of operations.
In Angeles City, a buy-bust sting of the city police drug enforcement unit and Police Station 6 resulted to the arrest of one “Jun,” 43, of Barangay Anunas, around 9:20 p.m. of Feb. 28 at Riverside Interior, Barangay Ninoy Aquino. Seized from the suspect were 55 grams of suspected shabu worth P374,000.
In a subsequent operation at 2 a.m. of March 1, the CDEU and Precinct 6 arrested alias “Lolet,” 61, of Barangay Pulung Cacutud, and the confiscation of 53 grams of shabu valued at P360,400, along with pre-marked buy-bust money and an OJO eyewear pouch.
In Bocaue, Bulacan, at 1:30 a.m. of March 1, Bocaue Municipal Police Station operatives arrested alias “Jon2x,” 36, and alias “Hapon,” 30, both from Barangay Batia. They were caught violating Sections 5, 11, and 26 of Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in relation to the Omnibus Election Code (Gun Ban). The operation resulted in the confiscation of 131.17 grams of suspected shabu worth P891,956.00 and a .38 revolver with five live rounds.
In Meycauayan City, Bulacan, at 2:37 a.m. on March 1, operatives of the Meycauayan City Police Station arrested alias “Mai,” 47, a businesswoman from Barangay Malhacan, and alias “Carl,” 33, from Caloocan City. They were caught transacting illegal drugs inside a gray Mitsubishi Mirage G4, leading to the seizure of 45 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P603,000.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen Jean S. Fajardo commended the dedication of Central Luzon police operatives in their “relentless pursuit” against illegal drugs.
“Our operatives are working 24/7 to hunt down drug traffickers and ensure that our communities remain safe. These operations demonstrate our firm resolve to dismantle drug networks and bring perpetrators to justice,” said Fajardo.
