20 Tarlac ARBO members undergo ‘enhancing collective marketing’ seminar

TARLAC CITY (PIA) — About 20 Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organization (ARBO) members benefited in the seminar on enhancing collective marketing of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Tarlac State University (TSU).

Attendees were from the municipalities of Paniqui, Camiling, Pura, San Manuel, and La Paz.

DTI Tarlac Trade-Industry Development Specialist Paolo Manese shared the learning initiative intends to educate the participants on the importance of effective marketing strategies, which are crucial in developing and sustaining a business.

“Most of our attendees are regular participants of DTI trade promotion activities.  This seminar is designed to help them understand the significance of marketing.  After this, we expect our ARBOs to be more confident in marketing their products,” Manese said.

TSU Resource Speaker Ronalyn Ann Marie Fuentes discussed Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning,  as well as the importance of product labels.

Meanwhile, Valerie Figueroa talked about the 4Ps of Marketing namely Product, Price, Place, and Promotion.

One of the attendees, Rolly Salcedo of Cabayaoasan Farmers Agricultural Cooperative, recognized the significance of marketing in boosting their cooperative’s sales.

“This seminar is very important for our organization because we need to be effective in collectively marketing our products and services.  It is a must because good marketing abilities can lead to more sales for our cooperative,” he said.
