CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – It was meant to be.
UP Diliman student Enna Amor Santiago of Barangay San Agustin and Jefferson Ralph Olalia of Barangay Sto.Nino were crowned as the Mutya and Lakan Ning San Fernando 2009 on Friday (May 29) at the Event Center of SM City Pampanga.
“That’s brains, beauty and body,” said the crowd who cheered for Enna Amor.
Mayor Oscar “Oca” Rodriguez, together with local government and Fiesta committee officials, led the awarding of the Lakan and Mutya Ning San Fernando 2009.
Filipino filmmaker Brillante “Dante” Mendoza, who was proclaimed as best director in this year’s Cannes Film Festival in France for his work “Kinatay” (Butchered), also graced the event and received a plaque of recognition from Rodriguez and other local officials.
Meanwhile, Mutya Candidate No. 2 Maribon Jen Malig of Barangay Sto Nino was awarded as Punto Central Luzon Darling of the Press.
