BALANGA CITY — Police arrested two individuals for online selling of unauthorized firecrackers and pyrotechnics in Barangay San Ramon in Dinalupihan, Bataan Thursday.
Bataan police director Col. Palmer Tria said the apprehension of the two suspects resulted in the seizure from their possession of two bundles of kwitis, one sawa roll with 1,800 rounds, one box piccolo and three bundles of 5-colors.
The suspects were arrested in an entrapment operation by the Dinalupihan municipal police station headed by Lt. Col. Alfredo Solomon, Jr. and other units of the provincial and regional police
The suspects face charges for violations of RA 7183 (Regulating the Sale, Manufacture and Use of Firecrackers and Other Pyrotechnic Devices), Executive Order No. 28, and Municipal Executive Order No. 40.
Tria reminded the public to be responsible and safe while celebrating the New Year. He strongly discourages the vendors from selling illegal firecrackers and urges the public not to patronize such illegal ones.
