HERMOSA, Bataan- The whole of Bataan, except Mariveles town, was set to experience power interruption of 45 minutes to more than nine hours Tuesday, June 28.
Ernest Lorenz Vidal, public affairs officer in Central Luzon of the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines, said this was due to the simultaneous maintenance operations of NGCP and the Peninsula Electric Cooperative.
NGCP has its transmission facility in Balsik, Hermosa, Bataan while Penelco is local power distributor in the province. “This is brought about by the annual preventive maintenance of the 100MVA transformer and power equipment at Limay Substation and the corrective maintenance by Penelco of its transmission line along the Hermosa-Dinalupihan 69Kv line,” Vidal said.
NGCP assured that normal operations will resume after work completion. Scheduled to suffer power outage from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. are the towns of Hermosa, Orani and Samal while Barangay Pinulot in Dinalupihan from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Balanga City and Abucay are scheduled for power interruption by 8 to 8:15 am, and 5 to 5:30 p.m.
Electric supply in Limay, Orion, Pilar, Bagac and Morong towns will be cut off by 7:15 to 8:15 a.m., and 5 to 5:30 p.m.
