BALANGA City — The Bataan inter–agency task force on Covid – 19 (BITF) on Saturday evening reported that a 70-year old lady doctor became the 7th patient in the province confirmed positive ofthe deadly virus.
The task force also announced that two of the seven Covid-positive cases have recovered and were transferred to a facility appointed by the Department of Health for them to finish 14 days of post admission quarantine before subjecting again for testing.
Gov. Albert Garcia, BITF chair, said that based on contact tracing, the physician had some guests from Manila in their Balanga City residence. Report showed that on March 10, she had fever, cold, sore throat and difficulty of breathing and was hospitalized March 15.
The first to recover was PH64, male, 32 years old followed by PH303, also male, 24. The third patient from Orion town, PH529, M – 55, still has cold but already without fever and no more suffering from loose vowel movement, the governor said.
Three others from the towns of Samal, Abucay and Mariveles only confirmed positive of the virus Thursday were confined in a hospital in Balanga City.
As of Saturday, there are 9,042 persons under monitoring, 72 mild persons under investigation and 72 severe PUIs.
The governor asked every one to cooperate and follow instructions, especially staying at home, observing social distancing and always washing of the hands.
“With prayer together, we will overcome this fight,” Garcia said.
