PILAR, Bataan – A resident here discovered a female fetus estimated at six months old floating on a small river near a water gate or “prinsa” adjacent to fishponds in barangay Wawa, in this town Friday morning.
Rowena Atienza said after sweeping on his backyard, she was about to dispose of the garbage when she saw the baby. “Nakadapa sa tubig ang sanggol na walang balot kaya kinuha ko at inilagay sa styrofoam,” the woman said.
Residents placed the baby in a small box above a small table with a lighted candle on its side.
Maria Fe Morales said they will name the fetus “Baby Princess” because we found her near a prinsa.”
She said that the fetus was about six months old. “Dikit-dikit pa mga daliri pero kumpleto na buong katawan,” she said.
“Makonsensiya naman kayo, kawawa ang bata. Kung ayaw ninyo sa bata o walang ipakakain, ipamigay ninyo sa nangangailangan o sa social welfare para mapunta sa karapat-dapat na magulang,” Morales advised other women.
