BALANGA CITY (PIA) — Forty-five beneficiaries in Bataan received housing units as the first batch of recipients of the Pilar 4PH Project under the Marcos administration Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program (4PH).
Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling, together with Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene Acosta, Bataan Governor Jose Enrique Garcia III, representatives of the project’s private sector partner, and other local officials, led the awarding of symbolic keys and certificates of entitlement during the turnover ceremony on July 23.
The Pilar 4PH Project consists of 600 ready-for-move-in two-bedroom housing units in five-story mid-rise buildings.
Designed to promote recreation, family bonding, and community interaction, the housing development features amenities such as a basketball court, clubhouse, swimming pool, and parks.
It is also strategically located near schools, health centers, and public markets, providing residents with convenient access to essential services.
Acosta congratulated the beneficiaries, expressing hope that their new homes would mark the beginning of happier and more comfortable lives for their families while encouraging them to become responsible home loan borrowers.
“Nawa ay maging simula ito ng mas masaya at mas maginhawang buhay para sa inyong mga pamilya at sa bawat araw na bubuksan ninyo ang pinto ng inyong bagong tahanan, nawa’y maging paalala ito ng bunga ng inyong sipag at tiyaga. Makakaasa po kayo na ang Pag-IBIG Fund ay nananatiling inyong katuwang sa bawat hakbang ng inyong paglalakbay bilang mga homeowners,” Acosta said.

Among the beneficiaries was public school teacher Aileen Tolentino, who thanked President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for the Expanded 4PH program, saying it enabled her family to own a bigger and more affordable home after years of renting.
“Dati po nagrerenta po kami. Mas maliit po yung unit namin dati at mas mahal pero ngayon mas malaki po yung unit na mapapasa amin at two bedrooms na po ito at mas mura kaysa sa dati naming upa. Salamat po sa Expanded 4PH, kay Pangulong Bongbong Marcos dahil po dito sa programang ito nagkaroon po ako ng sariling tahanan,” Tolentino said.
(We used to rent a home. Our previous unit was smaller and more expensive, but now the unit that will be ours is bigger, has two bedrooms, and costs less than what we used to pay in rent. Thank you to the Expanded 4PH program and to President Bongbong Marcos because, through this program, I was able to have a home of my own.)
Garcia thanked the DHSUD, the Pag-IBIG Fund, and the project’s partners for the housing program and urged beneficiaries to pay their housing loans responsibly so more Filipinos could benefit from similar initiatives.
“Sana po mas marami pang makinabang sa mga ganito pong proyekto kaya uulitin ko po yung bilin ng Pag-IBIG Fund, pagtulong-tulungan po natin sa pamamagitan po ng maayos na pagbabayad at siyempre kami naman ay tututok para mas matulungan kayo na magkaroon ng mas magandang trabaho at hanap-buhay para umikot yung ating pera at mas marami pong matulungan na atin pong mga kababayan,” Garcia said.
