Nelin Cabahug, DTI provincial director, said they used to conduct twice yearly the “diskwento caravan” in Balanga City and in Mariveles town but they decided to hold it this time in Dinalupihan.
“One of our dreams is to uplift the lives of micro, small entrepreneurs in Dinalupihan by exposing their products. This is a venue for small entrepreneurs to showcase their products at the same time offering good items for the consuming public at a discounted price,” she said.
Cabahug said various vegetables, fruits, seedlings and processed food are sold by 40 small entrepreneurs at minimum discounted price of 10 percent.
“We want to promote the entrepreneurial spirit of residents of Dinalupihan like farmers not only in planting and harvesting but to provide them linkages for marketing,” Mayor Gila Garcia said.
