CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — To encourage Kapampangans to adopt a healthier lifestyle, Philips, a global leader in kitchen appliances, conducted the third leg of its “#NothingBeatsHealthy- Eats” caravan at the Event Center of SM City Pampanga here on Friday.
Celebrity mom Bettina Carlos and celebrity chef Martin Jickain competed in a cooking contest using Philips latest innovation appliances for healthy kitchen solutions.
Restaurateur Chef Edward hosted the event with master of ceremonies Vince.
Bianca Balderas, Philips account executive, said the brand strives to make the world a healthier and more sustainable through innovation as it reaffirms and strengthens its advocacy in motivating Filipinos from all ages and all walks of life to make a healthier choice.
“Eating healthy food has been a trend for several years now but to many it has been a lifestyle of choice for them to live a healthy life,” Balderas said.
Preparing healthy food is time consuming and difficult for some, that’s where Philips kitchen innovations come in, she added. Philips has introduced several ways to cook tasty yet healthy foods using the latest kitchen solutions.
There are techniques and cooking methods where you can make great-tasting dishes that are also low in fat just by using Philips kitchen appliances, she said.
The cooking contest, won by Carlos, demonstrated how to cook traditional Kapampangan dishes using the innovative Philips appliances.
Philips is a global leader in kitchen appliances for more than 60 years.
The first leg of the caravan was held in Davao and the second leg in Cebu.
