Three residents of Capas, Tarlac earlier isolated in a New Clark City facility were sent home Friday, April 24, after completing their 14-day quarantine.
The three individuals who were earlier considered persons under monitoring (PUMs) were isolated for two weeks at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) Polyclinic in New Clark City because of their travel histories. They were the first ones to be sent home from the polyclinic.
In a simple ceremony, the Capas residents received certifications of quarantine completion from Mayor Reynaldo Catacutan and Municipal Health Officer Dr. Franchette Reyes. Also present was Capas Department Head for Public Order Safety and Management Edgar Guevarra.
During their stay, they were provided free meals and drinking water, multivitamins, face masks and gloves, and hygiene kits.
The UP-PGH Polyclinic is one of the facilities in New Clark City designated to accommodate COVID-19 cases. The other two are the National Government Administrative Center and the Athletes’ Village.
The UP-PGH Polyclinic is well-equipped with first-class health care. It has a 24-hour emergency room facility, primary care and sports medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, imaging center (for X-ray and Ultrasound), Diagnostic Laboratory and Pharmacy.
As of 11:00 a.m. of April 25, there are 26 positive COVID-19 cases in the province of Tarlac, while 254 are suspected cases and 693 are probable cases.
