HERMOSA, Bataan: Three suspected drug pushers died Wednesday night in alleged shoot-out with police during buy-bust operations in the towns of Dinalupihan and Hermosa.

Senior Supt. Benjamin Silo, Jr., Bataan police director, said brothers Rolando and Arnel Cayanan of Barangay Pagalanggang, Dinalupihan and a man known only as “Aba” of Barangay Tipo, Hermosa were killed when they shot it out with lawmen.

Reports showed the Cayanan brothers fired and hit the thigh of their buyer when they learned that they were transacting with a police officer at the drug buy-bust in Paglanggang at 7:30 p.m.

The police officer was rushed to the hospital and declared already in stable condition.

Aba, on the other hand, also engaged the lawmen in a firefight in Barangay Culis in Hermosa when he found out that he was selling two sachets of shabu to a police officer at past 11 p.m.

Responding police officers, however, were faster in their draw and killed the three suspects.

Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered in Dinalupihan a .38 revolver, a Magnum 357 revolver, a hand grenade, live bullets and spent shells, 20 sachets of shabu and marked money.

In Hermosa, SOCO found a .38 revolver, some live ammunition and spent shells, two sachets of shabu and marked money.

Bataan police has recorded six deaths of suspected drug traders fighting it out with operatives in buy-bust operations this month.
