CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Three suspected drug peddlers tagged as high value individuals in the police drug watch list were arrested with P375,000-worth of shabu in a sting operation in Angeles City last Tuesday.
In his report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano T. De Leon, Angeles City police director Col. Romeo S. Batangan said joint elements of the city police drug enforcement unit and Police Station 5 conducted the buy-bust operation along Mabini St. in Barangay Sapangbato that resulted in the arrest of Nivard Sigua y Pineda, 44; Jasper Sigua y Dela Cruz, 23; and Abdul Karim Grande y Panarigan, 27.
Seized from the suspects were four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 55 grams with DDB (Dangerous Drugs Board) value of P374,000, one white Honda PCX motorcycle, and the P500 bill used as buy-bust money.
Charges for violation of Section 5 in relation to Sections 26 and 11 of Article II of RA 9165 are being prepared against the suspects.
Commending the city police for the accomplishment, De Leon said “the PNP-PRO3 is continuously conducting proactive operations to invigorate its efforts to wipe out all forms of illegal drugs in order to achieve its quest for a drug-free Central Luzon.” PIO/PRO-3
