CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Some 200 Kapampangans recently completed trainings in various trades under the SKILLS (Skills-Knowledge Improvement for Local Labor Support) Program of the Provincial Government of Pampanga in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Pampanga State University and Pampanga State Agricultural University.

At the joint graduation ceremony held at Capitol here on July 21, Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda exhorted the graduates not continue honing the craft they acquired from their training as they go on to their respective work on means of livelihood.

Among the trades offered in the SKILLS Program are tailoring, cookery, animal production, and electrical installation and maintenance.

An incentive of P2,000 cash was handed out by the governor to each graduate.

The Capitol continues to help a total of 850 scholars – 550 from PSU and 300 from PSAU to achieve their dreams to build a better future for themselves and their families.

A mini job fair participated in by Aimcore Manpower Service Provider, True North Manufacturing Services Corp., and One Source Specialized Services Inc., was held during the event.
