HERMOSA, Bataan — Police on Thursday night arrested two suspects and confiscated more than P1 million-worth of shabu and a handgun in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mambog here.
Bataan police director Col. Romell Velasco identified those nabbed as Danilo Resurreccion, 55, of Mambog, who was listed by police as high value individual target, and Samsudin Abubakar, 29, of Malagapas, Cotabato City.
Confiscated were one plastic ice bag containing 160 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P1,088,000, one medium sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, P12,000 in buy-bust boodle money and one .45 pistol with four live ammunitions.
Velasco said personnel of the drug enforcement unit of the Hermosa municipal police station, Bataan provincial police drug enforcement unit led by Major Phoe Pangan, Jr., Bataan First Provincial Mobile Force Company and the Bataan police intelligence unit conducted the raid at 9:40 in the evening.
The operation was in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region 3.
Velasco said the suspects face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and RA 10591 (illegal possession of firearms).
