PRO 3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano T. De Leon

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Two provincial police directors bore the first brunt of a major revamp in the Philippine National Police-Region 3 office here initiated by Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Valeriano T. De Leon.

Col. Arnold Thomas Ibay of the Pampanga provincial police office has been assigned to the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Col. Lawrence Cajipe of the Bulacan provincial police office will assume as chief of regional staff stationed at PRO-3 headquarters in Camp Olivas here.

His replacement in an acting capacity is Col. Manuel M. Lukban, Jr., formerly the head of the Regional Investigation (R7) at Camp Olivas before he was re-assigned to National Capital Region Office.

Lukban also served as chief of police of Malolos City.

“It’s a sort of homecoming for Lukban,” a policeman privy to the officer’s  assignments noted to mediamen covering the police beat.

While the movement happened ahead of the six-month election ban prior to the May 2022, De Leon said it had nothing to do with the coming polls, noting that “it is a career advancement of some personnel whose promotion and assignments are due.” –With media reports
