CABANATUAN CITY – A female pharmacist and a jobless man yielded some P952,000-worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Valle Cruz here at about 12:15 a.m., May 8.
Police identified the suspects as Elena Valdez, single, of Barangay Valle Cruz, and Dionisio Gonsalez III, listed in the city police’s watch list, of Purok 1, Barangay San Juan Accfa, both of this city.
Col. Richard Caballero, Nueva Ecija police chief, said that anti-drug operatives seized from the duo a total of eight sachets, including a knot-tied plastic, weighing 140 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride.
Investigation showed an undercover policeman initially brought one plastic sachet of drugs from Gonsalez using a marked P1,000 bill and six pieces of computer-generated ones.
“During the arrest, another four pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and one-piece knot-tied transparent plastic bag, containing substance were recovered from the male suspect,” police said. “The woman, on the other hand, yielded two sachets.”
Charges for violations of RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act were leveled against the suspects, police said.
