2 ‘holduppers’ killed in Angeles shootout; bodies of father, daughter found at megadike

    ANGELES CITY- Two suspected holduppers were killed in a shootout with local cops along 2nd Street in Marisol Village here at about 1 p.m. yesterday, the city police chief said.

    In nearby San Fernando, the bodies of a father and his daughter were found yesterday morning near the anti-lahar megadike in Barangay Del Rosario. Angeles police director Senior Supt. Eden Ugale said the slain holduppers were on board a motorcycle when they fought pursuing cops after they reportedly held u their victim in the same area.

    He said no policeman was hurt in the incident. Other details were not immediately available as police probers were still investigating the case when Ugale was interviewed on phone. Meanwhile, in San Fernando, details on reports about the bodies found at the megadike were withheld by the police.

    The Pampanga provincial police directed inquiries to the Sindalan police station which in turn referred inquiries to the provincial investigation office. The investigation office, on the other hand, said queries should be directed to the Sindalan police.

    A police at the Sindalan station, however, confirmed the incident but said neither he nor anybody else in his office had more data.
