Mayor Marino “Boking” Morales and Dionisio “Jun” Magbalot, chairman of Miss Mabalacat 2009, led the program for the presentation of the candidates at the mall’s event centre.
The candidates wore their casual wears and displayed the environment-friendly “green bags” of SM malls. They also showcased their talents and were interviewed by the panel of judges.
The coronation night is set on January 31
at 8:00 p.m. It will be held at the Xevera-Mabalacat in Barangay Tabun, here.
The candidates are Genera Batac, Ma. Angelica Rivera, Charlotte Bernardo and Karen Jhoy Ayson of Madapdap, Johanna Reyes and Jessielyn Fernandez of Barangay Sta. Ines; Joyce Ann Alfuente, Sarah Jane Muan, Lenny Gamboa and Day Ann Manarang of Barangay Dau; Noyleen Garcia of Barangay Mabiga and Raquel Tongol of Barangay Camachiles.
The others are Marjorie Movilla of Barangay Marcos Village, Princess Cortez of Barangay Dolores, Ana Mae David of Barangay San Francisco, Lyza Rica Liwanag of Barangay Bical and Hera Ann Tiglao of Barangay Poblacion.
Shey Corpuz, host of the event, disclosed that free rides will be available for those who are interested to watch the coronation night.
Morales thanked the sponsors of the yearly beauty tilt, including Xevera-Mabalacat Developer Delfin Lee.
The organizers said the prizes are P100,000 cash, a 29”inch colored TV and a trip to Honk Kong for two.
Reigning Ms. Mabalacat Kim Wijangco graced the event on Monday and she will do her farewell walk during the coronation night.
