APALIT, Pampanga- All six towns in southern Pampanga will experience power outage from 8 a.m to 6 p.m. on May 30, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) announced yesterday.

Also on Saturday, five barangays in Tarlac City will experience power outage from 7:15 a.m. to 12 noon, the Tarlac Electric Inc. (TEI) said.

In an advisory, NGCP said it will shut down transmission facilities serving the six towns “to facilitate replacement of conductors along Mexico-PIMU 69kV line.”

The power outage has been slated in this town, as well as in San Simon, Macabebe, Minalin, Masantol and Sto. Tomas within Pampanga political fourth district served by the Pampanga Electric Cooperative-3 (Pelco 3).

“Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion.

NGCP’s customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption,” NGCP added.

In Tarlac, TEI said its customers in Balibago I and II, Salapungan and Tariji will experience power interruption from 7N15 a.m. to `12 noon also on May 30.

“Outage is due to the replacement of wooden 15kv distribution line poles and upgrading of primary lines in Salapungan and Balibago II area,” TEI explained. In Barangay Calingcuan, however, the power outage would start at 8 a.m. but also last up to 12 noon.

“We will replace three wooden 15kv primary distribution line poles affecting these areas,” TEI said.
