SUBIC, Zambales – Another worker of Hanjin Heavy Industries Construction Co., Ltd. was killed and one was injured when a 15-ton iron fell at the dry dock 6 of the ship building facility in Redondo Peninsula, Sitio Agusuhin, Barangay Cawag of this town, Friday morning.
Raldon Del Rosario, 22, sustained multiple wounds in his head and body that caused his death. He is a welder and a native of Barangay Pasil, Tabuk, Kalinga Apayao.
The injured victim, Bochei Camalao, 24, was brought to St. Jude Hospital in Olongapo City for treatment. He lives in Barangay Madapdap, Tabuk also in Kalinga, Apayao.
Both are workers of Free Corp., a subcontractor of Hanjin.
Report said at about 8 a.m., while getting an iron steel at the dry dock 6, a crane carrying 15-tons of iron hit the two victims.
“Yung binubuhat na bakal ng crane kumalas at tumama sa lugar kung nasaan ang mga biktima,” Hanjin workers said.
Del Rosario was the 18th person killed at Hanjin since 2006.
