“We wanted to invite more people to be here today to really understand what we are doing in terms of skills training, vocational teaching and job generation for our province,” she said.

The governor revealed that since the start of the program way back during the time of her father, the late Governor Jose “Aping” Yap, there are already more than 168,000 Tarlaqueñosbenefited from the program and more or less, 40-percent of them have landed jobs.

“We are really working at it, trabaho muna, edukasyonmuna. So, to the dedicated force of the TPNP now, TCLASS, congratulations,” Gov. Sap said adding that TPNP has evolved not only as a training and placement network program, it has also become an assessment center.

Cong. Yap for his part congratulated the provincial government of Tarlac for establishing a wider program for the benefit of Tarlaqueños.

“I am always excited to see how programs mature, improve and get better. I would say that this is the step towards the right direction…if I may, during my time [as governor] with Mara, our only dream then is just to establish trainings for less than one thousand pesos but massive. Now it’s different, it is bigger and better,” Cong. Yap said.

Vice Governor David said that the TPNP was started by the late Gov. Yap, continued by Cong. Yap and made better by Gov. Yap.

“In Tarlac, it is really like that—Serbisyong Mayap,” he said.

TCLASS through its Mayap Scholarship Program is offering training for Trainer’s Methodology I, Housekeeping NC II, Food and Beverage Services NC II, Dressmaking NC II, Wellness Massage NC II, Barista NC II, Bread and Pastry NC II and Cookery NC II.
