It was a landslide victory for Tarlac Gov. Victor Yap who ran under the NPC banner and got 234,443 votes.
Independent candidate Isabel Cojuangco-Suntay got 89,912 votes while Lakas’ Pearl Pacada got 46,547 votes.
The lone vice gubernatorial candidate Enrique Cojuangco Jr. got 246,847 votes.
In the first district of Tarlac, lone candidate Enrique Cojuangco got 97,302 votes.
Second district Congresswoman Susan Yap of NPC was re-elected with 111,121 votes over her rival former Public Works director Jose “Pepe” Rigor of Lakas who managed only 32,171 votes.
Concepcion Mayor Noel Villanueva of the NP was elected third district representative with 55,784 votes over NUP’s Jeci Lapuz of 23,885 votes and LP’s Hermie Aquino who got 19,902 votes.
